I have been painting with my friend Allie. I love her enthusiasm and willingness to dive into her work and experiment, creating paintings using her fingers and a various assortment of tools. She had asked me to help her learn to better blend colors. So we began exploring "blending" and using a limited palette and our fingers, we each swirled and scratched and played with the colors on 12" x 12" canvases.
Allie had asked me to help her expand her blending skills and she, in turn, helped me to open up and remember something I had long forgotten, the simple joy of creating with the most basic of tools…my fingers!
